Bloggers Unite - World Aids Day

Oh My GOD, I was too busy that I forgot to make a post for November. Sorry for all in my pending review list, seems that you have to wait for a while because today is World AIDS Day.

AIDS - the Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome - is a disease you get when HIV destroys your body’s immune system.

What is HIV you said ? HIV - the Human Immunodeficiency Virus - is a virus that kills your body’s "CD4 cells." CD4 cells (also called T-helper cells) help your body fight off infection and disease.
Normally, your immune system helps you fight off illness. When your immune system fails you can become very sick and can die.

I do believe that most of you already knew the danger of AIDS but the victims are increasing each day. Prostitutes are very vulnerable to get infected with HIV because although they are aware about this disease, they could not do anything when their customers did not want to use protection because of money.

HIV can be passed from person to person if someone with HIV infection has sex with or shares drug injection needles with another person. It also can be passed from a mother to her baby when she is pregnant, when she delivers the baby, or if she breastfeeds her baby.

If you are living with HIV or AIDS, you may need many kinds of support: medical, emotional, psychological, and financial. Your doctor, your local health and social services departments, local AIDS service organizations, and libraries can help you in finding all kinds of help.

Let's fight against HIV and AIDS, find a HIV Testing center here, before too late.
